Responsibilities

Position summary

The ERP Product Owner is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of the ERP system, bridging the gap between business needs and technical functionalities. This individual will champion the ERP product, ensuring it aligns with business objectives, meets stakeholder requirements, and enhances operational efficiency.

 

   ERP Technical and Functional Support

  • Drive the vision and overall strategy for the ERP system in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all ERP-related inquiries, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Facilitate the creation and execution of functional test plans for ERP system enhancements and changes

ERP Requirements Management and Solution Development

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize ERP-specific requirements.
  • Work closely with development and business teams to ensure ERP functionalities align with business processes and needs.
  • Translate business requirements into ERP user stories and acceptance criteria.

Business Process Analysis: 

  • Understand and apply business processes to the ERP solution.
  • Identify bottlenecks and make recommendations for process improvement.
  • Conduct process modeling and generate process maps to drive process improvements. 

Support Application Development and Change Management: 

  • Partner with various business segments (manufacturing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance) to ensure the ERP aligns with all business functions.
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and systems.

ERP Documentation and Compliance

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of ERP-related documentation.
  • Ensure the ERP system complies with industry standards, company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
  • Lead ERP-centric meetings, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Vendor Relationship and Software Lifecycle Management

  • Foster relationships with the ERP vendor, handling negotiation, issue resolution, and driving further enhancements.
  • Stay up-to-date with new releases and updates from the ERP vendor and assess their impact on our current setup.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ERP management or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrated experience as a product owner or in a leadership position related to ERP
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and project documentation familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Desirable Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of business process in the manufacturing industry
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and change management
