Overview

The Opportunity

The ERP Business Analyst and Advanced Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is a high-impact, hybrid role designed to bridge the gap between complex manufacturing requirements and technical software solutions. You will serve as the primary architect for our shop-floor digital transformation, combining the analytical mindset of a Business Analyst with the technical execution of a Developer.

Your mission is to implement, optimize, and extend the Epicor Kinetic ERP platform and the Advanced MES module to drive operational excellence across our manufacturing sites.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The right person in this exciting role will serve as the "connective tissue" between the front office and the shop floor. In a manufacturing environment like Cretex, this role has a direct impact on profitability, delivery speed, and data-driven decision-making. This is an opportunity to turn "software" into a "strategic asset" by ensuring the investment in Epicor Kinetic and Advanced MES translates directly into a faster, leaner, and more profitable manufacturing operation through:

  • Real-Time Shop Floor Visibility
  • Eliminating "Shadow Systems”
  • Financial Accuracy and Costing
  • Enabling Scalability for Growth

Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Process Optimization

  • Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders and end-users to translate operational pain points into clear functional specifications.
  • Analyze existing workflows to identify bottlenecks and design "future-state" processes that leverage Kinetic’s native capabilities.
  • Act as the primary translator between business leadership and the technical IT team to ensure software alignment with corporate goals.

System Design & Technical Development

  • Design and build custom solutions within Epicor Kinetic using Application Studio, BPMs (Business Process Management), and BAQs (Business Activity Queries).
  • Lead the setup and optimization of the Advanced MES module to ensure real-time data accuracy and shop-floor efficiency.
  • Utilize C#, SQL, and REST APIs to modify existing systems or develop custom applications when "out-of-the-box" functionality requires extension.

Data Analysis & Business Intelligence

  • Manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data integrity across the ERP environment.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to support executive and operational decision-making.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure every deployment is stable, scalable, and user-friendly.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support, troubleshooting complex system issues and providing root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain a robust library of technical specifications, functional guides, and user manuals.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Significant experience with Epicor E10 and/or Kinetic is highly preferred. Direct experience with Epicor Advanced MES (Mattec) is a major advantage.
  • Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL/SQL Server) and programming languages such as C# or Python.
  • Proven ability to document complex business requirements and translate them into technical logic.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project management frameworks.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or ScrumMaster; experience with Power BI or Tableau.

Why Cretex?
